New Caledonia : "Tropical" France at just 2 hours from Brisbane
I am choosing to speak about this island because when I discuss with australian people, not many people don't know really this country.
Kanak culture (Melanesian) is clearly present and it is also for this amazing mix that New Caledonia is a great vacation spot and discovery: scenery, surprise and tranquility.

When I miss the France...just a quick glance !
Difficult to say where is the most beautiful spot in France. I am very embarassed when someone ask me these question. But when I miss the France a lot, I go on line at this adresse : http://www.francethisway.com/regions.php. look and enjoy the visit !
But in my heart, my most fabulous spot is Brittany where I grew up and accurately on the "pin granit coast" (la côte de granit rose), in the North of Brittany : Lannion and beautiful beaches and charming coast : Perros Guirec, Ploumanach', Trebeurden and Tregastel... with its crystal clear waters and pink sand. New Caledonia is the biggest lagoon in the world and is a beautiful Island near Australia (just 2 hours by flight from Brisbane) with a perfect weather all long the year.

No jellyfish, no dangerous animals, safety country, large diversity of landscapes : small island, lagoon, coral's beach, mountains... a smashing destination wich offer a lot of things to do, to visit, to eat and to dive...
The good fortune of New Caledonia is also proposing a range of accommodation: camping, guesthouse, bungalow or luxurious resort ... budget or want great luxuries: there's something for every budget.
