And now begin on May 16th the prestigious Film Festival of Cannes, which as its name suggests, takes place in Cannes on the Cote d'Azur in southern France. This film festival presents a selection of films of the year (rather "cinema d'auteur") and invites producers, directors and comedians to submit their films to win the "palm" of the year.The strongest picture of the festival is certainly the famous "red carpet" (of the Festival Palace), where artists are welcomed to star in an atmosphere so glamorous and so frenchie, "haute couture" dress for ladies (Chanel, dior, Gaulthier, ...), men in tuxedo, lot of photographers, champagne...
And for this 65th edition of the Film Festival of cannes, this year will have the pleasure of welcoming distinguished guests among these two major international and Australian artists:
Kilye Minogue and Nicole Kidman for two new films:
> The Paperboy, the U.S. Lee Daniels (with Matthew McConaughey and Zac Effron)
> Hemingway & Gellhorn (out of competition), the American Philip Kaufman, in which she plays Martha Gellhorn, the third wife of famous writer.
